How it works, one job at a time
A short guide and a video for every part of Linekto. Each one puts real data in and shows what it does — no slides, no voice-over, English subtitles.
Getting started
Getting around
Find any screen, customer or invoice in two or three clicks — from the menu, the icon rail or Quick jump.
1:36Turn features on and off
Extra features for special kinds of work — stock, bidding, design registrations, EDI and more — are switched on only when your agency uses them.
1:30My settings: theme, text size and typing
Set the screen up the way you like it. These choices are yours alone — nobody else in the office sees them.
1:17Getting help: the Support center
The Support center is where you reach the Linekto team: announcements, what is new, this manual, short help articles and your own questions.
1:13Catalog
Manufacturers and rep agreements
Manufacturers are the lines you sell for. The rep agreement behind each one decides what you are still owed if the line ever ends.
2:02Build a line card
A line card is the one page you hand a buyer: every manufacturer you represent and what they make. Keep one for each kind of customer.
1:37Products and price books
Products are the parts your manufacturers make. Price books load a manufacturer's new price sheet without retyping a single price.
1:55Alternates and cross-references
Alternates say which of your parts to offer for a competitor's part number. Cross-references record a manufacturer's own numbers for your records.
2:11Sales
Customers and contacts
Customers are the companies you sell to. Contacts are the people at your customers and manufacturers.
1:24Visits, calls and to-dos
Log every stop, call and email as one short line, and the promise you made becomes a to-do with a date.
2:10Deals and the sales pipeline
Deals are business you are chasing but have not won yet. Each stage has odds, so the pipeline total is a commission number you can plan on.
1:36Design registrations
When a part is written into a customer's new design, the manufacturer can register it in your name. That protects your commission when orders come.
1:49Bidding: jobs, takeoffs, submittals and change orders
Follow a construction job from the bid to the last change order, all on one job page.
2:52Retail trade deals
Write down each promotion the day you agree it, so you can check every deduction a retailer takes for it months later.
1:58Orders
Purchase orders and backlog
Key in a customer's purchase order and follow it until it ships. The open backlog shows what is booked but not shipped.
1:57Stock on hand
Track the parts you keep on the shelf — what you hold and what it is worth.
1:20Taking orders at a trade show
A one-screen order pad for standing at a booth with a buyer in front of you.
1:23Money in from customers
Write down what customers actually paid, tie it to their orders, and see what they still owe.
1:27Commissions
Commission invoices
Every sale a manufacturer invoices earns you a commission. Enter the invoice here and the rate and splits fill themselves in.
1:45Commission checks and matching
When a manufacturer's commission check arrives, match it to the invoices it pays for.
1:24Special pricing agreements (SPA)
Keep each special price a manufacturer approved for one end customer, and work out the difference to claim back.
1:34What we are owed and what is missing
Two screens for money that has not reached you yet: commission that is late, and commission that never showed up at all.
1:30Deductions
When a customer pays the manufacturer less than the invoice, your commission shrinks too. Track each deduction until you win it back.
1:36Rep statements and payouts
Check what each rep earned from money that actually came in, then pay it — without ever paying the same commission twice.
1:53Draws, approvals and disputes
Three owner jobs: advances to reps, saying yes or no to requests, and settling arguments about pay.
2:21Analytics
Dashboard and rep standings
The dashboard tells you how far along the agency is this month. Rep standings compare people over any dates you choose.
1:35Reports and the grid
Reports build the table you want to see. The Grid puts customers against lines so the gaps — your next pitch — stand out.
1:45Money coming in and goals
How much commission lands in the next months, and whether that is enough to meet your targets.
1:23Customers worth a call
Three screens that point at customers worth a call, before the money shows it.
2:18Data
Import a commission file
Turn the commission file a manufacturer sends each month into invoices, so nobody types them in.
1:51Bring your data over from an old system
Moving from another commission program? This wizard brings your lists over in three steps.
1:57Take your data with you
Your data is yours. Download everything as plain spreadsheets, any time, without asking us.
1:22Distributor sales, EDI and manufacturer systems
Three screens for files other companies send you: distributor sales reports, EDI deduction documents and manufacturer CRM exports.
