Stock on hand
Track the parts you keep on the shelf — what you hold and what it is worth.
How do I track stock on hand and its margin?
- Press New and pick the part. Say whose it is: yours, the manufacturer's on consignment, or samples out with a rep.
- Set the level at which you want to be told it is running low.
- Open the line and receive stock with its cost.
- Record each sale with its price. On hand drops and you see what the sale made.
Good to know
- Every movement stays on the record, with what was left after it.
Where to find it
- Orders › Stock — try it in the demo (opens in a new tab)

Some agencies keep parts on the shelf. The Stock screen tracks what you hold and what it is worth. Each line says whose it is: yours, the manufacturer's on consignment, or samples out with a rep. We are starting to stock Cutler's Grade 8 cap screws.
Pick the part. We bought these ourselves, so they are ours. Ask to be told when it runs low — here, at 10 boxes. Open the new line.
Nothing on hand yet. The truck came in: 60 boxes at $41.20 each. Put the cost in — margins lean on it. On hand is 60 now, and the shelf is worth $2,472.
Blue River Supply buys 18 boxes at $64 each. Write down the sale. On hand drops to 42 — and you can see what the sale actually made. Every movement stays on the record, with what was left after it.
Back on the Stock list, the line shows 42 on hand. Receive with a cost, ship with a price, and on hand and margin keep themselves.
