Special pricing agreements (SPA)
Keep each special price a manufacturer approved for one end customer, and work out the difference to claim back.
How do I track a special pricing agreement (SPA) and the difference to claim?
- Press New. Type the manufacturer's approval number, the end customer, the distributor and the dates. Save.
- Open it and add the parts: picking a part fills in the standard price; type the agreed price.
- The top of the agreement finds every invoice for that customer on those parts during the agreement and totals the price difference.
- Download it as Excel for the distributor's claim.

Sometimes a manufacturer agrees to a lower price for one end customer, to win or keep the business. That is a special pricing agreement. Keeping it here means nobody has to hunt for the paperwork. Each agreement shows who approved it, who it is for, and how long it runs.
Bremer approved special prices for Great Lakes Fastener. Press New. Type Bremer's approval number, so everyone quotes the same reference. The end customer, and the distributor they buy through.
It runs from September 1st through the end of February. Save it. The new agreement is in force. Open it to add the parts it covers.
An agreement is a list of parts, each with the standard price and the price they agreed to. First the hi-vis vests. Picking the part fills in the standard $85.50. The agreed price is $72.
Then the respirator kits: $138 standard, $121.50 agreed. Now look at the top. This is where the agreement takes effect. The system finds every invoice for Great Lakes on these parts during the agreement, and counts what was sold.
The 40 vests and 12 kits on this month's invoice come to $738 of price difference. That is the working the distributor needs to claim the difference back from Bremer. Download it with Excel.
