Manufacturers and rep agreements

Manufacturers are the lines you sell for. They pay your commission, so every invoice hangs off one. The list shows each line's commission rates, how fast they pay, and their terms. The short name is what you type all day on invoices, so keep it short.

A few words on what they make. This shows up on your line card later. Rate A is the rate you use most. B and C are for special pricing or big projects.

Pays in: days from their invoice to your commission check. It drives your cash forecast. Save, and Kestrel is ready to pick on invoices and orders. Search to find the new line.

Now the paper behind it. The rep agreement decides what you are owed if the line ever ends. Every line is listed here. Kestrel has no agreement written down yet.

Say Kestrel has given notice. Choose where it stands. The end date. A future date is fine — the app will count down to it.

The key clause: what you still get paid for after it ends. Here: anything shipped for six months after the end date. Save the agreement. Kestrel now shows up under Ending within 60 days, with the countdown.

In the full list it reads Notice given, with the end date and the tail you get paid on. And after a line ends? Delta ended in August, but money is still on the books. Show me lists the invoices and open orders behind that number, so you can go collect.

Write the agreement down once, and nothing you are owed slips through when a line ends.
