Money in is where you write down what customers actually paid — and see what they still owe. At the top: what landed in the bank, what the card processor kept, and anything that bounced. Cedar Rapids Industrial sent a bank transfer. Pick who paid.
Only their orders show up. Tie the money to the fastener order. They paid $4,000 of the $8,877.50 order. The bank charged $1.50 for the transfer.
Write that down too. The order now shows how much is paid and how much is still owed. A week later they pay the next part by card. Card money comes in less the processor's fee.
Put in the card fee the processor kept, so the bank total matches your statement. Still owing drops again — now just $2,000 left on this order. And the bank total counts only what really landed, after the fee. Every payment tied to its order — so you always know who still owes you, and how much.
